NURBS Beach Ball

The 6/03/13 was a Digital Processes lesson in which basic textures and materials were taught. This was the applied to a NURBS model of a beach ball simply created with the ‘NURBS Sphere’ tool. The beach ball used a simple ‘Phong’ material with a ‘bulge’ bump map and ‘ramp’ texture node. The ground was made with a ‘NURBS Plane’ and was set with a ‘blinn’ material along with a ‘grid’ bump map and ‘checker’ texture node. Finally a directional light was used to light the scene before the use of a ‘gravity field’ and ‘rigid bodies’ to make the ball bounce.
